Quarterly Market Review July - September

France

Welcome

Positive news for the French market in the second quarter is that South Africa was announced as the best-sold African destination in France at the International French travel Market (IFTM) in September. The destination has performed very well at an individual sales level, despite the impact of the recession, and a decline in long-haul travel.

With the main vacation season over, and winter on its way, French travellers typically begin to think about planning next year’s summer holiday.

Through our ongoing Safari and WOM campaigns, we are steadily achieving our goal of enticing French holidaymakers to visit sunny South Africa now, rather than in 6 months time.
