Quarterly Market Review July - September

Business Tourism

Welcome

July to September were busy and productive months for the
Business Tourism team.

The team embarked on various stakeholder engagements and
site inspections in order to keep up to date with the product offerings
in the meetings industry. A further objective was to understand
challenges, identify opportunities and see how SA Tourism might
be of support to grow Business Tourism.

South African Tourism assisted various organisations with their
marketing activities by providing promotional material for the following conferences and association meetings - World Critical Care Congress 2013, International Conference on Women in Physics 2011, 2nd World Journalism Education Congress 2010 and the UNI World Congress 2014.

We also welcomed a new staff member, Taubie Motlhabane (Trade Relations Manager – Associations
& IGO Meetings) and Tina Herold was appointed as the Trade Relations Manager- Business Tourism
looking after the European association market, in line with Business Tourism strategy to strengthen
our focus on the association market.
